Three Refreshing Waters That Will Relieve Your Belly From Holiday Overeating

Three Refreshing Waters That Will Relieve Your Belly From Holiday Overeating

When it comes to the holidays, food is not an option, it is a tradition. Whether it is grandma’s rice and beans or loads of stuffing that you can’t resist, we all end up overeating. I know I can’t be the only one that feels that my tummy surpassed the point of full the entire night and day after. Here are some water combos that can help you cleanse your system.

  1. The OG Lemon Water: I say the “OG” because at one point or another, we have all heard that lemon water benefits the body. Lemon is packed with vitamins and nutrients that positively affect our system by aiding digestion, reducing inflammation, and boosts energy to say the least! (add some mint leaves for a fresh personalized flavor!)
  2. Cucumber Water: Taking those tasty little veggies that we put on our eyes during homemade spa facials and putting them in our water can invigorate our bodies for better skin, can assist detox by flushing out toxins and can curb appetite with its yummy taste.
  3. Mint Grapefruit Water: Grapefruit is known for its fat burning qualities and mint for it’s anti-inflammatory properties. Beginning your morning with this combo will trigger your metabolism to start your fat burning before you even eat breakfast.

FUN MUST-DO: Buy an ice tray (dollar store, walmart etc.) and put the lemon, cucumbers, blueberries in the molds with water, freeze and make cleansing grab-and-go ice cubes!

These are a few of my favorite cleansing waters. I encourage you to experiment with your favorite flavors. Water in itself will help cleanse the body but adding these ingredients can make staying hydrated less boring and can get that food baby down.
